Track gate for Proctor mast?
Hi, I hope everyone is well. I have a question about sail sliders & mast gates. My boat has always had the boom on a sliding track, but I'm looking at changing to a fixed boom with it set at the lowest point on the mast track. This will stop the top of the mainsail being set too high so it fouls the ...

Re: Rudder play
Thanks Maja for that extremely useful information.
I'm looking to have the boat lifted out in the spring, so will definitely remove the rudder and sort the issue. Are these o-rings available to order, or will I need to get them machined? Also are they bronze?
Thanks again.
Mat.

Rudder play
Hello, Should there be any play in the rudder on an International Folkboat? I can feel some play in the tiller. Also when I lash the tiller to stop it moving I can hear the rudder clunking. It's particularly noticeable in the cabin. I'm just wondering whether I need to take a look at the rudder ...

Re: Cabin leak
I did solve the cabin leak. It was the deck seam. Also was the first thing I tried....which is a first in my history of fixing things! ;)
Thanks for all the suggestions.

Re: Sliding outboard bracket
I'm probably best to save that money for a new outboard. My current Yamaha is from 1993, but still going strong....

Re: Sliding outboard bracket
Thanks Maja,
I'll keep a look out for one. There's a couple of IFs near me with the sliding bracket. I'll try to chat to the owners so I can get some photos and dimensions, and look at getting one custom made... ..depending on cost.

Sliding outboard bracket
Hello, I'm considering replacing my transom hung outboard bracket with one of those sliding brackets that allows the outboard to be pulled right up. I see them a lot on Nordic Folkboats, but have also seen them on IFs. I'm just wondering if anyone can answer a few questions about them please? My ...

Re: Cabin leak
Thanks for the replies.
I'll check all the deck fittings for any obvious areas that need re-sealing. I tried the hose treatment, but to no avail. Bizarre how rainwater will find its way in though...
The hull/deck join does need attention - so I'll make that a priority.
Cheers,
Mat.

Cabin leak
Hello, I've got a small leak in the cabin. I'm getting a small amount of water in the second locker on the left, under the seat/bunk. It's rainwater so I'm guessing probably from the window seal, but would be interested in hearing of other areas that might be causing this leak. Incidentally I'm a ...
